Pokemon Go! Not yet available in Malaysia

Morning earthlings..... xoxo lol!

Since not much to do this morning so I force myself to post something in my blog hahaha..

Well, some of us will having their toys or games when we in primary or secondary school, unfortunately I'm not going to talk about yours but mine hahahah😜 since this is myblog.. Kidding~ 😘

During my time pokemon was very popular games either nintedo, playstation or video game as well pc game. At that time I have my own pc therefore I install nintedo apps and able to play pokemon hehee...

To those that has no idea on what I talking well it okay. You can google it since there are a lot of information about pokemon especially now it getting popular and revive back after the new apps call Pokemon Go.

I won't go far back to my time but what I want to share is how this apps that created by niantic utilized/ manipulate the modern techology (gps, internet connection, smartphone) in order to bring pokemon alive!! I mean a real as a real one. Pokemon Go is apps that you can catch a Pokemon (short form of Pocket Monster) around your area. As a pet for battle, you need to raise and train them to get stronger and be a pokemon master ( a title for the stronger than anyone - pokemon trainer).

Pictures above is my own pokemon go that I already install and able to play when niantic doing a server test and they open server for Malaysia for 1 hour and after that it locked back.. Huhuhu 😩

The interesting part of pokemon go, the pokemon (monster) are scatter all around you and you need to travel or walk to find a pokemon (monster). After find them, if you decide to catch it then you need to use your pokeball to catch them

These some of the pokemon (monster) each of them have their own power and become stronger if your keep on train them (in battle) and evolve them..

This pokemon go (the apps) utilized the gps function, mobile date and smartphone in order to function properly. Your smartphone now turn into devices eg: pokedex, bag, pokeball and navigator. The apps combine the reality and virtually. Where, you will see the pokemon (monster) in front of you (on your handphone screen) which the background is reality (using your back camera show your real surrounding (exact location) and you will starting to catch them as they are real in front of you.... Hahahaa this part when people see you, you look like a dumb people moving your phone here and there just to find and catch the pokemon (monster)

However, you may not get chance to play yet... Cause region lock in asian. Only certaim country like USA, Australia etc able to play now 😔😔😔

No worries it will be anytime soon. At time being you may follow pokemon malaysia community facebook for any updates

The apps can be download at google playstore or itunes however, in Malaysia is still lock you may not able to download but you can download the apk files available on website haha.. (install at your own risk)

Food Delivery? Dominos Pizza...........

Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone

'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything.....

Yes it is The Lazy Song lyric by Bruno Mars... I hate when I having migraine cause it will ruin my whole day laying down on my bed.

Even worst it is a fasting month T_T... I like crawling for my medicine~

For today Iftar (breaking fast) I decide to order food delivery. There are few option that I consider which are Dominos Pizza, Pizza Hut, McD and a&w... However, McD delivery does not cover my area :( for Pizza Hut not like craving one. a&w not much choice available. So I thinking of Dominos Pizza.

One thing I like about Dominos Pizza Online Ordering you can select a variety of Meal Combo that suit your budget, ala carte, and even personalized you own pizza, crust and topping. As well when you want to checkout for make a payment they will offer a special offer to be add-on (upselling) which is value for your money.

One more thing after done submitting your order you can trace your order using their GPS Tracking.... You able to know at what stage is your order process by them. As well, if they late usually they will give your "Sorry Coupon" for your to redeem

UBER? Save my day! Bravo & Well Done~

Did you ever use Uber service?? I never thought of using their service until my car broke down early in the morning and worst part is I contact all my friends they all already dead sleeping hahaha~ What a Bad day!

Next what I do was googling using my mobile phone and tried to call a conventional taxi in Shah Alam area unfortunately they already closed since the incident was happen around 3 am in the morning, therefore fair enough.

At the same time, I remember that there is an application for android call grab a taxi. I straight away go to Play Store to search and install the apps without further due.

After register myself at Grab apps a I started to set my pick-up location and drop-off destination. The screenshot picture below is only illustration, if you search after it assign a taxi to you, then you need to ride it and this case currently I already safe and sound in my home so I no need to search for it because the Grab system will alerting available taxi around you to take your request. Then, you have to use their services ngee~

I think it is my bad day! no taxi available during that time and it show pop up on my screen that "Sorry, there is no available taxi right now. Please try again later" -__-

I was sooooo stress that time and I already feel so sleepy. I tried 4-5 times no luck.

While I keep on waiting respond from taxi available in Grab apps, suddenly "UBER" cross my mind! That time I was 50-50 either want to or not since it is logic that no taxi available at that time 3 am to 4 am in the morning. Since, in my head I just want to go home and rest. I push myself go to Play Store and search and install UBER apps. Done registering myself (I easy you can register using your Facebook account and done! no need to fill up so many thing, it will only ask you to key-in you name and mobile number)

Then, started to set my pick-up location and drop-off destination. That time, UBER notify there is one UBER driver available about 8 minutes from my location (in UBER apps one that I realize it highlight on time instead of miles).

(sources:
 https://www.youtube.com)

On the screen, it will show you the information about the driver (picture, name, car model and car registration number) for security purpose. One that I like about this UBER, security is utmost important to avoid any possibility criminal will happen since both the passenger and the driver need to register the information that you can't fake it. Since, passenger need to register or link their social media to their UBER account and add up payment method (to key-in visa card/ mastercard information). For the driver they need to upload their I/C, driving license and car insurance policy and then take a few day to be verified and become and approved to become a UBER driver. (this information you might able to find in their website)

(sources: https://www.youtube.com)

The UBER driver fetch me on-time maybe the traffic is not there since it is early in the morning haha~ The payment method I choose cash that time since my card unable to be charged for the fare that another bad luck T_T. Surprisingly, my fare only RM 4.91!!!! Soooooooo cheap and I was like SERIOUSLY that CHEAP! hahahaha...... That at least calm down my stress level since so many bad thing happen.

Just want to highlight, one of the vital requirement to be UBER drive is you need a smartphone that have internet connection so that the apps will guide you exactly the pick-up point and the drop-off destination. The navigation system will assist the UBER driver to know where to pick-up and drop-off.

Alhamdulilah..... I reach my home 'safe' and 'sound' hahaha after so many bad things happen that day. But the interesting part about UBER is the Global Positioning System (GPS) that they use in their application.

What is Global Positioning System (GPS)? - The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space-based navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites.[1] The system provides critical capabilities to military, civil, and commercial users around the world. The United States government created the system, maintains it, and makes it freely accessible to anyone with a GPS receiver.
(source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Positioning_System)

The UBER apps will show you where is your UBER driver navigate in real-time (on the screen you will see the car icon moving along the route until he/ she reach you (so interesting and I was so excited to use the apps).
What is Navigation System? - A GPS navigation system is a GPS receiver and audio/video (AV) components designed for a specific purpose such as a car-based or hand-held device or a smartphone app. The global positioning system (GPS) is a 24-satellite navigation system that uses multiple satellite signals to find a receiver’s position on earth. GPS was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The technology was originally used for military purposes. Since 1980, when GPS technology was made available to the consumer market, it has become common in cars, boats, cell phones, mobile devices and even personal heads-up display (HUD) glasses.

Smart Phone: Operating System (OS)

In this entry I'm going to share about smartphone. Now a days, people in this world are stitch to their smartphone. Wherever they go smartphone with them. People seem can't live without their smartphone.

In the market right now there are few operating system for smartphone which are; Android OS, Blackberry OS, iOS, Symbian OS, Window Mobile OS

Source from youtube, History of Mobile Operating System (1996-2007)

1. Android OS

Android is a mobile operating system (OS) currently developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. It has been the best-selling OS on tablets and on smartphones since 2013

Android's user interface is mainly based on direct manipulation, using touch gestures that loosely correspond to real-world actions, such as swiping, tapping and pinching, to manipulate on-screen objects, along with a virtual keyboard for text input. The operating system's current design language is Google's Material Design. Android's primary app store is Google Play, with over one million Android applications ("apps") published and 50 billion downloads as of July 2013. In addition to touchscreen devices, Google has further developed Android for television, cars, and wristwatches, each with a specialized yet similar interface. Variants and forked versions of Android are also used on notebooks, game consoles, digital cameras, and other electronics.

2. Blackberry OS

BlackBerry OS is a proprietary mobile operating system developed by BlackBerry Ltd for its BlackBerry line of smartphone handheld devices. The operating system provides multitasking and supports specialized input devices that have been adopted by BlackBerry Ltd. for use in its handhelds, particularly the trackwheel, trackball, and most recently, the trackpad and touchscreen.
The BlackBerry platform is perhaps best known for its native support for corporate email, through MIDP 1.0 and, more recently, a subset of MIDP 2.0, which allows complete wireless activation and synchronization with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, or Novell GroupWise email, calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts, when used with BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The operating system also supports WAP 1.2.

Updates to the operating system may be automatically available from wireless carriers that support the BlackBerry over the air software loading (OTASL) service.

Third-party developers can write software using the available BlackBerry API classes, although applications that make use of certain functionality must be digitally signed.

3. iOS

First iteration of Apple's touch-centric mobile operating system.

Apple's iOS did not have an official name until the release of the iPhone software development kit (iPhone SDK) on March 6, 2008. Before then, Apple marketing literature simply stated that their iPhone runs a version of OS X, a reference to iOS' parent operating system. When introduced, it was named iPhone OS. It was renamed iOS on June 7, 2010, as, with the introduction of the iPad, and the existence of the iPod Touch, the iPhone was no longer the only device to run the mobile operating system. iOS 4 was the first major release to reflect this change. Apple licensed the "iOS" trademark from Cisco Systems.

4. Symbian OS

Symbian was a mobile operating system (OS) and computing platform designed for smartphones. Symbian was originally developed as a closed-source OS for PDAs in 1998 by Symbian Ltd. As a pioneer that established the smartphone industry, it was the most popular smartphone OS on a worldwide average until the end of 2010 – at a time when smartphones were in limited use, when it was overtaken by Android.

Symbian OS was (from 2001) essentially a shell system and required an additional user interface (as middleware) to form a complete operating system. Symbian OS became prominent from the S60 (formerly Series 60) platform built by Nokia, first released in 2002 and powering most Nokia smartphones. Symbian eventually became the most widely used smart mobile operating system.

Nokia was the majority shareholder in Symbian Ltd. and purchased the entire share in 2008.

5. Window Mobile OS

Windows Phone (WP) is a family of mobile operating systems developed by Microsoft for smartphones as the replacement successor to Windows Mobile and Zune. Windows Phone features a new user interface derived from Metro design language. Unlike Windows Mobile, it is primarily aimed at the consumer market rather than the enterprise market.[8] It was first launched in October 2010 with Windows Phone 7. Windows Phone 8.1 was the last public release of the operating system, released to manufacturing on April 14, 2014. Windows Phone has been succeeded by Windows 10 Mobile, with the Windows Phone name being phased out in favor of branding the platform as an edition of Windows 10.

Touch 'n Go card? How does it work??

This entry was inspired right after do some spring clean to my Wallet lol!~

Well I "bet" all of us will experience what i encounter right?? to much rubbish -> useless paper stored in you wallet (buat perkasam) for too long (which include the receipt, expired membership card, expired voucher/ coupon and so on~) wondering why still keeping all this useless item. Or?? maybe just want to make your wallet look bulk (fill up with money) lol~ the ugly truth is opposite hahahahaha~ Joking :P

Cut it and straight to the point on what I want to share is the 'Touch 'n Go card' The card that you will keep for too long and it is usable hehe...

Those how have no idea what is 'Touch 'n Go card' here is the example that I have in my wallet... It is a Tesco ClubCard but at the same time embedded with touch n go functionality. Clever right Tesco? hahaha~ to retain their loyal customer by introducing clubcard and make the card more useful by add up touch n go functionality.

Have you ever wonder how this touch 'n go card functioning? What is the system that used in order to read the card by only touch on the dedicated platform and process your transaction within a minute?? As well it contain an information of your balance in the card..

Here is the History of Touch n Go card (TnG)

Touch 'n Go was developed by Teras Teknologi Sdn Bhd while the brand and the Real Time Gross Settlement (central clearing house systems) are owned and operated by Rangkaian Segar Sdn Bhd as now known as Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd. The first Touch 'n Go system was installed and used at Jalan Pahang Toll Plaza on 18 March 1997. It was then immediately extended to Jalan Cheras toll plaza and the E37 East-West Link Expressway toll plaza on 15 April 1997. The Touch 'N Go toll payment system was fully implemented throughout the 848 km E1 E2 North-South Expressway on 15 November 1998. This was made possible when the service was extended to the northern sections of the highway from Jelapang to Jitra. As such the smart card can be used to pay toll from Kempas in Johor to Jitra in Kedah, making it one of the world's longest single stretches of expressway to have electronic toll payment systems. The official launch was done at the Sungai Dua toll plaza and officiated by Rangkaian Segar Sdn Bhd's then chairman, Datuk Dr Ramli Mohamad.

This is the history when it was started implemented and used in Malaysia. But, I will go deeper into the technical part of TnG system.

Before that lets watch this short video on touch n go latest product call "TimeTraveller" watch" Sooooo excited!~ lol

Basically we know that TnG is a contactless smart cards and electronic payment system based on contactless smart cards. It can also be used together  with SmartTAG , a device and additional electronic payment systems continue to drive the vehicle.

(this is how smartag look like)

TnG go card is fully developed by the Core Technology Co.Ltd. using a MIFARE technology.

Technically in simple language Touch 'n Go is a technology-based electronic payment system using contactless smart cards.

It use MIFARE technology which is a radio frequency transmitter data communication between contactless smart cards and stationery scanner.

The transactions occur when the Touch 'n Go is scanned on a scanner to payment or reload.

What is SAP System?

SAP? - According to Business Dictionary.com it is a German software company whose products allow businesses to track customer and business interactions. SAP is especially well-known for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and data management programs. SAP is an acronym for Systems, Applications and Products

So, we know that it is stand for Systems, Applications and Products (SAP). Easy to understand if you are working with a large company will use this SAP system in their organization. The easy example that I can share is Human Resources Department (HRD), if you applying leave like annual leave (AL) or medical leave (MC) you require to update in the system personally. My own personal experience was working with Maybank Berhad and their are using SAP system called MyHR2u.

So what is MyHR2u and what are the functions???

It is SAP system that require you as a Maybank staff go the portal (https://myhr2u.maybank.com.my/irj/portal) login by key-in your own dedicated ID and password that given by the IT department when you been hired by Maybank on the first day.. hehe~

(this is how the portal looks)

It can be access either using intranet or extranet as long as you have internet connection and devices to access website thats all. When I was on holiday trip to Thailand, I have tried to access this portal and able to do so (I check my payslip actually, before the salay credited the first thing come out is the payslip- on midnight lol~. So you know how much you got that month-during that time is Maybank bonus payout hahaha! so I'm soooooooo excited to check my payslip on that day. I managed to access and check my payslip even though I'm not in Malaysia that time.

The portal have a numerous functions that available which the objective is to ease their staff to access their personal information either inside or outside of the company network. (Intranet or extranet- this one you just click it will explain it to you :P )

Basically the most common function that we as a staff (I ex-staff now lol~) for payslip, offer letter (verification of Maybank Staff), ESOS, leave application, current internal job opportunities, claim just to name a few.

The system was very helpful, you no need to physically go to your Human Resources Department to get your payslip, what you need to do is just access the portal, login and just click on the menu in the portal that all! It save time, reduce cost in terms of print all their staff' payslip, increase efficiency for HR department in terms of processing leave request claim and so on. It is free from hassle.

Without realizing your company may use SAP system right?? after read this you might say Ooooo, now I know! ngeeee.....The only things that your company using a different name for it. In this case, Maybank Berhad they call it MyHR2u.

Thats All!

p/s: a short video of SAP Dummies lol~
